MRAM test system developer Hprobe in France has been acquired by Swedish production equipment maker Mycronic as part of a move into the semiconductor market.

Hprobe in Grenoble develops turnkey semiconductor Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) for magnetic devices. The acquisition by Mycronic, which makes PCB, die bonding and photonic wire bonding equipment, will provide access to global infrastructure to expand across Asia, North America, and Europe. It will also accelerating technology and product roadmaps at Hprobe to meet growing demand for wafer testing of advanced MRAM and next-generation TMR sensors.
